We spent the afternoon Sun on the farm. We were lucky enough to meet a family who owns & operates a cattle ranch outside Calgary & they are happy to have us come out & ride their horses & Bryan can hunt on their land. We drove out to spend some time with them, and meet the horses - who were very friendly. Bryan got to go for a ride in the combine - as it is harvest time - but I didn't get a pic. We hope to get out again for a ride in 2 weeks time.

Katie's personality is really starting to shine these days. She is full of spunk and is quite cheeky. She also loves to explore and get around. She spent an while one afternoon appreciating Mom's flowers - pulling the petals off - if only I could train her to "dead-head" them instead of pulling off the live ones!

That head band is so freakin' cute. Ahh, the fun things you can do with a girl! One day she will be begging you to do her hair, probably with about 2 minutes to get out the door.
