Kindergarten Celebration

June 7th was Katie's last day of school. As the Kindergarten class attended 3 full days/wk all year they finished early. On their last day they had a celebration for the K/1 class. It was really sweet. They sang for us and then we watched a video based on the book "The Imortant Thing" where each child told us something important about themselves. The important thing about Katie is that she "loves nature and animals". It was really cute. Then Mrs Percifield presented them with a certificate and a little speech about each of their little personalities. Katie was really feeling unwell, any other day and I would have made her stay home but she really wanted to go. You can see in the pictures she was not herself, pale and tired, but she enjoyed her last day of school. We sure are proud of her...she has grown so much this year, physically, emotionally and intellectually. She is a "masterful" reader, reading beyond her grade level and is great with numbers. She can't wait until grade 1, and we love that she will have Mrs. Percifield again.
