Nine months in and life with 3 kids is busy, mostly due to the littlest one. She is soooo incredibly busy. Our minimalist take on baby-proofing has been hyped up a (little) bit due to her mobility and the larger house. Rachel is so close to standing on her own, she gets up on 1 knee now, and adaptly cruises the furniture, with a long reach. She has learned that the stairs are dangerous, although the stairs to the 2nd floor are gated we can't gate to the raised living room, after a couple tumbles (2 steps) she has learned to sit at the top and scream for help. We have also learned to leave nothing on or at the bottom of the steps for her to reach for. She is a total mouth baby, so we are constantly fishing things out of it, paper is a favorite. Sleep continues to vary and food too, at times she eats like a horse, other times like a bird (literally & figuratively - mouth open neck out or very little ). She likes homogenized milk, giving me a little freedom from pumping if I want to get away, but she is still nursing strong and love sher cuddles. She has 6 teeth now, the last ones were tough on all of us, and she will wave and regularly shows us how big she is. Her busy-ness made pictures more fun this month! At her check-up early April she weighed in at 16lbs 6oz and 28in long - 3 lbs smaller than Liam and 2.5 smaller than Katie at 9 months. She is a string bean:)
