Dance Dance Dance

Last week was parent viewing week at dance class, so off Liam, Rachel & I went to watch Miss Katie dance. Her class this year is a triple combo - ballet, jazz and tap at the Alberta Dance Academy in Okotoks. She is really enjoying it and settled in well with the new group of girls after having to move from her class in the city in the late fall. The drive after school was too much for all of us and no one was happy. I was able to find a Friday class that doesn't interfer with school schedules or require late nights. I miss the feeling of the old studio where we knew many people but this studio is close to Costco, so we do a weekly run there while she dances. This is likely her last year of dance as she wants to play hockey next year, and her skating is up to par so she can give it a try.

 It was hard to find a class as laid back as it was at the old studio, no skirts allowed in this class but there is no strict uniform either - Katie is in the striped tights.
