Waterton 2010

We had a little family holiday in our favorite place - Waterton. The kids did great camping and we all had a lot of fun. It was different camping for us this year - we didn't hike! We did drive down to the states and spend a day in Glacier National Park on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The kids wanted to go to the new water park so we obliged them, and a trip to the ever-popular stables. Add in the rain, naps and meal times and that left no time for hiking, but lots of fun was had and that is most important. We'd like to get down again before the fall weather closes everything down but Liam's surgery may make that difficult, we'll see.

New waterpark - Liam wasn't sure of the water park

The kids loved Ike. Unfortunately Liam could only sit on him for a quick photo.

For the first time, after several tries, we managed to drive the Going-to-the-Sun road in Glacier Park Montana. As we have the camper and no dogs this time we didn't have to worry about food or vaccination papers, just our passports. The kids were fantastic in the truck and enjoyed the drive - we frequently heard Katie say "amazing", "beautiful" - it was very cute! There were many things to do along the road but we just did the drive this time. We definately want to go again and spend some time exploring the activities and hikes along the road. It really was amazingly beautiful.

The road - it is the most amazing drive, but not for the faint of heart

Katie made a friend on the side of the road - we DID NOT feed her, but obviously she has been fed by many others.

Puddles! The kids didn't mind the rain at all, they played in the puddles until we made them come inside, kicking and screaming.
