Katie's 3rd Birthday - Tea Party

For Katie's 3rd birthday party with her friends I planned a tea party. She has LOVED tea for as long as I can remember (coming by it naturally). This summer she was so blessed to be given 2 tea cups and saucers that belonged to special women in her lif e- one from Grammy Mo, which was given to her as a wedding gift and one from Vange Johnston, which was a family heirloom. Her excitement for these gifts is what really motivated me to do the tea party this year.
I had so much fun planning and preparing for it. I made the hats for the kids, straw for the girls and top hats for the boys. The girls got gloves and dress-up jewlery to wear, the boys got watches, wallets and glasses.
We had pinwheels and finger sandwiches with fruit kabobs and celery with creamcheese for lunch, and th prettiest mini-cupcake cake for dessert. Then the kids (and Moms) got to decorate teapot and teacup cookies to take home with them. These are just a few photos, there will be some more to come of the children enjoying themselves. Thanks to Lorie, Sarah & Brandy for all their help!

I tried to take some pictures of them but not so much luck.

Rolling around having fun

Where's Katie??
