We went down to Aggie Days for the 3rd time this year. We enjoyed visiting with the Gilham`s and the Culver`s while checking out the animals. Aggie Days has really grown (or so it seems to us) over the last 3 years, many people, and this year they had lots of barriers up around the larger animals so the kids could not get close to them. We can certainly understand why this is but it was disappointing as in past years Katie has been able to get up close and personal with pretty much all the animals. She still thoroughly enjoyed herself, and watched some of the demonstrations this year and had a hard time when it was hard for her to leave, but she was quite well behaved. We swear she was meant to be born on a farm, and it certainly fuels our desire for acerage when we go down to the this event.
Watching the sheep shearing demonstration

Franky watching the sheep shearing

Baby chickens
Six month old piglets

Cuddly baby goats - they were sooooo cute!

The honey bees. Katie thought she should be `queen` bee
This was cool - the buffalo and his owner were having a snuggle together.

Katie & Amaya getting a lift to watch the baby goats - they were sooo cute!

Playing with Amaya in the biggest sand box ever!

Checking out the calf inside the cow display - last year this scared her.
The baby chicken pooped right after this photo and she couldn`t believe it had done that! She kept looking at the poop on the floor, then got distracted by the other chicks. When she looked back again the poop had disappeared! (the farmer had wiped it up with his boot)

Being pecked by the baby turkeys - she could have spent hours with her fingers stuck in the holes of their cage. These babies have brought her so much joy every year.
Petting the goats

The piglets.
