Easter!

Easter was an exciting holiday this year. Katie was anticipating the Easter Bunny's arrival and had trouble sleeping on Saturday night. I think she knew there were fun things in store after receiving her new bicycle from Mommy & Daddy for Easter on Saturday. The weather here has been beautiful and Auntie Bev & Uncle Pete came up Saturday to give Katie her Easter gift - accessories for her bike, so we decided to give it to her a day early. She was so excited, she told me at 3:30am, when she woke up to pee, that she was going to ride her bicycle first when she got up in the morning!

Although the Easter bunny brought nothing as big or exciting as a bike she thoroughly enjoyed her egg hunt and basket of goodies. Of course she only wanted chocolate for breakfast, which we allowed her to have (shocking to those who know me well) - but only after she had some proper breakfast. The Easter bunny was pretty clever in hiding those eggs, he knew all Katie's favorite places - the doll house, box of mega blocks, her cd player, and her play dough accessories, so finding the eggs was pretty easy. The Easter bunny seemingly forgot Liam this year, as he got no chocolate, but he did get a few books and a fun dragon.

We enjoyed a yummy brunch with Uncle Justin & Auntie Crystal at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, where the Easter Bunny actually made an appearance! Katie couldn't really tell you if the food was any good but she can assure you the the bunny gave out good chocolate! After brunch we stopped by the Hodder house and the cousins had some play time. Katie refused to sit for a picture with Liam, Olivia and Sophia so I have only a picture of the babies together. This was the first time the Hodder girls had really met Liam.

Our love birds - these two have made themselves a cozy home in our bird house & serenade us daily with their "pretty song" (according to Katie)
