First few days

It is so hard to believe that it has been just about 4 days since Liam was bornm it feels like he has always been here with us. Katie is in love with him, she is such a proud sister, and asserting her indepedence - not always endearingly, but that is part of the package.
Today Bryan ventured into work for a couple hours, leaving Mommy and her babies alone. It was a nice, but we do like having Daddy around. The sling is the best invention! I just popped him in and was able to get on the floor with my hands free to play with Katie. She kept asking every once in a while "I see baby Mommy?" - she'd peer into the sling to check on him.
He is so very content, has caught right on to breastfeeding and is sleeping in 4 hour stretches - which makes us very happy. We are hoping that he continues along this path. We feel pretty lucky right now.
Yesturday was Gabbi's anniversary. With Liam's arrival we didn't get to acknowledge it as we had planned, but she was certianly with us, in our thoughts. It was an emotional day, however the pain was eased by Liam's presence, he would not be here had if it were not for Gabrielle. In the next week or two we will take a day for her, once we settle in a little more.
Katie was showing us all his little body parts - "here are his ears"
She is so very proud

Amazing Chrissy, that's all I have to say. Hope life with 2 kiddos isn't too tough on you. Please let me know if and when you are up for a short visit, would love to drop off some food!

What a beautiful family! Liam does look like he has always been there, especially in the picture with Brian and Katie. Congratulations again!
