Rachel's 1st Birthday!

I am so far behind I figured I may never catch up so I should start with the most significant post - Rachel's first birthday. We celebrated with a BBQ on July 2, with family and friends and it was fabulous. We were camping on her actual birthday (July 8) near Hinton, AB. It is amazing that this past year has come and gone already. It has been so busy and fast, I haven't even written her birth story down and here we are - she is 1 year old. She is talking up a storm, tons of sounds and attempts at words like "hi, yes, dadda, mama". She is a dynamo, crawling like mad, standing, CLIMBING, everything. Needless to say she is BUSY and full of energy. She can climb the tub, the slide out back,  bouncy castle slides, onto the train table, counter in bathroom etc etc. She likes to jump from furniture to my lap and from hip to hip (mommy to grandma etc). She has 7 teeth now, and uses them to eat most anything she can get her hands on - including rocks, to the point of chipping one of her front teeth - we spend our lives fishing things of out her mouth. Sleep is not bad, lots of night she sleeps 10-12 hours now. She is figuring out if she needs 1 or 2 naps, depends on the day. She is still nursing several times a day, this is new for me at this point but we are both still happy.

We are just so blessed to have Rachel in our lives and family, she is the most loving little "Bug" and I can't imagine what our life would be like without her in it - she lights up our days. Happy First Birthday Baby Girl - Mommy, Daddy, Katie & Liam love you soooooo very much!

Family photo shoot - Bryan got called out to a fire call 45 minutes before the party so he missed the photo shoot:( He arrived just in time for dinner, that his brother and Uncle Chris cooked for him - talk about timing. The kids & I took all these pics ourselves - Katie & Liam took some great shots!
