First off - my cupcake creations from decorating class #3 last week
For as long as I can remember, although not as a child, I have wanted to a horse, and potentially other farm animals. A colleague of mine has a horse, two donkeys and a llama. She is retiring in the near future and will be spending most of her time south of the border. She asked if we would be interested in taking the animals. Katie & I have riden Rebel and the kids have mucked around with the other animals and they are lovely, just perfect for a family with small kids, so it took very little discussion for Bryan and I to determine that when it is time these are the right animals for our family. The time is coming faster than we expected and it looks like they will move to their new home in the spring after we get a bit of work done to our pasture space and shop. In the meantime we plan to take the kids there regularly so that they can learn to socialize with each other and we can get more comfortable with the animals too. I am very excited!
Bryan and kidos with Emme the llama. She is usually slow to warm up, but took to Bryan in no time! We figure she will be Bryan's animal.
Katie & Shrek the donkey - her animal
Katie on Shrek, Liam on Carter and Rebel checking it all out
Liam and little Carter - they'll be best buds!
Bryan and Rebel, Mommy's animal. He is a 17 yr old quarter/arab cross and just the most wonderful fella. He has been used for trail and pleasure riding and lessons.

Wow, Chrissy! That is some serious farm you've got going now!
Love the cupcakes, very cute. And Liam's shoeless adventures were quite amusing too...
Very nice pics, everybody seems to be excited, I love the little horse, looks just right for Liam. I say the llama is Bryan,s buddy.
I thought Carter was a little horse, when I looked at the pics the second time I realized it was a donkey, still looks cute & Liam with no shoes or socks.
Emme is Bryan's girlfriend and the donkeys are perfect for the kids. We haven't told them yet that they will be ours in the spring - it is too long to listen to them all winter asking "when?".
