Christmas Eve was the same but different this year. In the 10 years Bryan & I have been in Calgary this is the first time Pete and Bev didn't host, but Murlene and Lee didn't disapoint...good eats and treats for all. The kids had a blast and everyone recieved a little surprise. No Santa visit this year, the first time in a long time, it was too much for him to fit in his busy schedule this year. The long drive home made for some tired kiddos by the time we got there. We had looked forward to setting out Santa's snack and hanging stockings with the children, but it was a no go...they were too tired and just wanted to go to bed. Mommy made sure that Santa and his reindeer had some snacks to sustain them through the rest of their night.
