It seems my camera and I are having a little separation these days...I rarely pick it up, which is why there are so few updates. The arrival of winter however did warrant a few photos. We had such a beautiful, long, warm fall and then one day we got hit over the head with winter's cruel arrival and -20 temperatures for a week. It was pretty nasty for that week, taking Bryan up to 3 hours to get to work, 3/4 of which was the city drive. Thankfully I was off that week so the kids & I hunkered down in the house, going out for a little while each day to tame the snow drifts at the front door. Katie was so excited that first morning, there was no keeping her in the house. Liam struggled to keep his mittens on his hands so there was lots of drama, but some heavy elastics fixed that and he can now play outside with dry warm hands.
All Katie wanted to do was build a snow man, but the snow has not been wet enough to do so

Helping Daddy put up Christmas lights
He is telling me that these are Christmas lights - his vocabulary has just taken off in the last few weeks and he tries to say everything we say
On Sunday we went out on our 4th annual Christmas Tree Hunt in K-country. It was a beautiful day for it at about -6, but the snow was up to my knees in places so it was really hard for the kids to walk, and we had this crazy idea that they would sit in the 1 sled together -wrong! So I spent most of my time carrying Liam around, while trudging through shin-knee deep snow...not much fun. We cut a load of fire wood and found 3 trees - 1 for Crystal and Justin, 1 for their friends Crystal and Ken and a massive tree for us. Bryan wouldn't let
