around the garden

The garden is growing, the flowers are blooming and the birds are hatching - it is pretty amazing watching it all and to think we will get to do so every year is really amazing!
I actually took this picture last week so there is much more going on now, we`ll soon have fresh produce to enjoy - and give away!

Baby robins - the Momma was a little angry at us for getting in their face

Duck eggs! This picture was 3 weeks ago, right after they were laid and Momma duck wasn`t roosting yet. We`ve been keeping an eye on her since and are expecting babies in the next week or so, right in out front yard!

This nest if over the light above out patio door, I couldn`t get the babies or Momma birdie

We`ve had some spectacular thunder storms the last week or two. This is a view from our sunroom, the barn belongs to our neighbour.

These are from the front flower bed. The beds around the property are an ongoing project, an unbelievable amount of work, but it is surprisingly very relaxing. In the last couple days everything has just opened up and it is so beautiful - just don`t get too close or the weeds become obvious (I`m trying but they are winning in some areas)
The most beautiful Iris - I love the colors

I`m not sure what this is but it is beautiful

Lupins
Painted daisies - daisies are beautiful but like weeds in a garden and they are quickly becoming the bain of my gardening existence, splitting them and pulling the new plants out - they are on a mission to take over the whole garden.
