Christmas Tree Hunt 2009

Another year, another adventure hunting for Christmas trees. Once again the Moore family joined us in the search for the perfect tree (or 3). Auntie Crystal came out again this year, but Uncle Justin was away at work. The day started out well enough, warm, sunny, good breakfast in our tummies. Then we trekked off onto a "side track" and the Moore's van and trailer jack-knifed on the hill. After some tense moments the men safelt parked the trailer on the side of the road and got the van back to the bottom of the hill with no damage done to anyone or anything.
We managed to find 3 lovely trees without too much hassel, took some pics and chopped 'em down. Then the kiddos were off to play while the BBQ master (Bryan) cooked lunch fo rthe starving group - only to find out that I forgot the sausages!!! This takes the cake over Lorie's lack of ketchup last year. However, nobody starved as we did have hotdogs, chips, some cookies and hot chocolate and tea - but let me tell you the sausages were missed!
After lunch time to load the truck with our massive trees, the girls (Mia & Blazer) could barely get in their kennel and poor Dozer thought he would be left behind. Down the hill we went, picking up the ditched trailer on the way with the truck. At the bottom switch the trailer back over to the van and homeward bound we were. Another successful tree hunt complete! 'Til next year.....
Waiting for Daddy and Uncle Chris to get the Moore's van unstuck!
