Canada Day In Halifax

We started off our vacation in Halifax, staying with our wonderful friends Heahter & Luke, and Luke's cousin, Kate. It was Canada in Halifax, much as I remember from years past. Great grub, breaky with L&H, then off to Fisherman's Wharf in Eastern Passage, where we won KISS tickets!! Unfortunately we won't be in Hali for the concert so Heather & Luke got a fabulous thank you gift!
We had lunch at John's Lunch - the best little greasy spoon on earth, then took the ferry over to the Halifax waterfront. Katie loved the pirate ship park - my favorite as a child, and the big wave. We wandered around on the Sackville, Bryan was in history heaven.
Back to L&H's for a delicious bbq, lazed around the house for a rainy evening, and then at the last minute decided to take in the fireworks from the bridge. It was a short but great visit!
Before heading out of town Thurs am we caught up with my oldest friend, Vickie & her hubby, Steve for brunch - they were visiting in town from Ont.
Painted dolphins on te waterfront - these are new since we were last home
