Finding "normal"

Last week was our first days home without Bryan. It went pretty well. I was (and still am) tired, and that leads to shortened patience with Katie. I feel badly as I am reacting to things I would normally let go, but she is also pushing new limits. She is quiet mouthy at times - the spite in her is incredible!! I have to remind myself that she learns it from those she is around the most - namely me - so my lack of patience only makes her more spiteful - it is a vicious circle!!
She sure does love her little brother though and has become quiet a little mother herself. She loves to annouce when he is awake - "eyes are open" or "making noises". She will do almost anything you ask if you phrase it as "helping Mommy" (the tricks of the trade).
Our first day home together

Checking out his train piggy bank - Katie must now share the loonies

He was a bit jaundiced - prescription - sunbathing
