Baby Update

We are now 31 weeks along, and had a checkup with our midwife yesturday. I have been having all these thoughts and fears of pre-term labour and/or babe being breech. The last check-up he or she was lying transverse - sideways - however at 27 weeks that was okay, they can still basically do somersaults at that point. But, I have been feeling all the movement in my left side, not top or bottom or the right side, so I was nervous about positioning. I was very relieved to find out that babe is indeed head down yesturday. Bug is lying in a "C", head down, back on my right side and bottoms up - so all the little "parts" (hands & feet) are on the left - hence why my left side is getting beaten up! In all likelyhood he or she won't flip around at this point, but it is still a possibility. If it does we have decided that I will not schedule a cesarean, but will have to go to hospital. I will labour and deliver a breech baby vaginally, just not at home. Anyhow we'll cross that bridge if & when we come to it.
So here we are, single digits to due date, with one active little baby, in proper position. I am feeling well, there are still lots of anxieties and thoughts that enter my mind that haven't in previous pregnancies, but that is the journey I get to travel, and it is worth it for having had Gabbi in our life, even if for a short time. She has made me appreciate this pregnancy and this little bug more than I could have without her. It is hard to believe that it has been 10 months since she left us, but we have come a very long way in those 10 months.

Hey Chrissy you look wonderful! Chance was positioned the same way in me (except bum on left and feet on right) so I can sympathise!

Your blog is great, good to see all your updates!

I bet you can! I love all the movement but it would be nice to spread it out a little more evenly!
