Katie's Room

Katie's "big girl room" is finally completely finished. As you might remember we began working on her room before Gabbi was born. Katie moved into the room in March, but it was then a process to get the drapes up (despite packaging, they were different lengths & had to be hemmed) find and frame pictures (calendar pictures of puppies & an original oil painting, Bryan made the frames), put up shelves (which Bryan custom made) and find little accent pieces (beautiful little hooks for next to nothing at Saskatoon Farm). We are pretty proud of the finished product - a little girl's room that is timeless, "unthemed", that she can grow into, and that can be changed with little cost or effort as her interests change.

Her bed is always lined with her friends - she refuses to have any of her stuffed animals live on the floor - good thing she has a double bed!!
Daddy's custom made shelves - Mommy made it a challenge for him and he accomplished it!! Great job Daddy - thank you!
The third fabulous shelf, all the lovely framed pictures and the cute little hooks.
PS - I have changed the settings to that ANYONE can leave a comment - you don't have to have a google address now - so feel free to comment away if you so choose.

Chrissy, that is such a beautiful room. We are starting our own journey towards a big kid bedroom, so many choices that it is sometimes aggravating and overwhelming.

I'd say you and Bryan did a wonderful job.

Hope you are all well. Katie is as beautiful as ever.
