Visit to Banff / Lake Louise with Grandmas

A dream day in the rockies...
Grandma is visiting from Ontario and she brought along her friend, who Katie lovingly knows as "Grandma Jen". Jen has never been west before & never to the Rockies, so off we trekked for a day in the mountains. We covered the main "tourist" sites - Lake Louise, High Tea at Banff Springs, Bow Falls, and a wonder through the shops of Banff. We managed to put on quite a show for Jen, and had 2 black bears, an elk and some deer come out to play. We wish we'd had more time to explore but it was fun and fulfilling none the less.

this black bear put on quite a roadside show for us, the 2nd one was not as accomodating

Katie was "Alice in Wonderland" looking for the white rabbit

Our waiter was wonderful with her & set her up at her own special table, with a corner view overlooking the grounds

Climbing to the look out at the top of Bow Falls, Katie climbed ALL the stairs herself
