16.5 Months Old!!
Hi Everyone,
I know that it has been a long time since I wrote to you all. Life in my house has been a bit of a rollercoaster lately, as you can imagine. I thought that it was time to let you know that Mommy, Daddy & I are doing okay. The tears are flowing less often, and though our hearts still ache and we miss Gabbi very much we are beginning the process of moving forward. Time refusing to stand still - as is proven my ever growing, but still minimal hair!
I am know talking up a storm - lots of days I start when I wake and don't stop until I go back to bed - much like moving for me - now I talk AND move all day:) I continue to give Momma & Dadda a run for their money!! I can say bubbles and purple, doggie & puppy are also understandable, yes, juice, poopy, and a few other words - but mostly there is still just a lot of babble. The BIG news is that I am now in my BIG girl bed. Momma was busy getting my room ready so that I could move before Gabbi arrived and it has been a good project to keep her busy over the last few weeks. Although Daddy still has to make the shelves and picture frames it is all painted and I have officially moved in. Momma & Dadda are so proud of me - I haven't given them any trouble yet - and it has been 5 whole days - that is 10 whole sleeps counting naps! I think it is a great place to sleep as I have so much more room to stretch out.
February brought my first sleep over - I spent a night hanging out with Auntie Bev, Allison & Uncle Pete while Mommy & Dadda had a much needed evening to themselves. This is when I decided to learn to say purple - I needed to really asssert my independence by learning a big word while I was away for the night:) Uncle Justin also got his own house in February and I am looking forward to lots of sleepovers with him and Crystal.
Well that is all for now. I want to thank everyone for taking such great care of my Momma & Dadda while they have been hurting so much, they have read everyone of your emails and cards and although they may not have replied know that it has been so very appreciated.
Love & hugs,
Katie
