Part I
What a nice weekend it was - Mommy had some time away withe the girls!! It was a rather unfortunate situation that worked out really well for Me. My sister-in-law & some friends had a weekend scrapbooking retreat to Pincher Creek planned for this past weekend 7 one of the lady's family ended up with Norwalk virus & couldn't go - so I got a last minute invite. It was a blast - weekend full of great food, wonderful company, lots of laughs & even some scrapbooking got accomplished! We stayed at The Bloomin' Inn in Pincher Creek - out in the southern foothills of AB - it is a full working farm that hosts scrapbooking & crafting retreats, all with a bed and breakfast set up.
Part II
Meal time is becoming even more fun these days as Katie is a "See food eat food" baby - like her Daddy:) She is eating EVERYTHING we eat - nice asian stirfry on Friday night, last night a Pasta with salsa, basil pesto & maple syrup sauce. This morning she shared my cinnamon pancakes, with some fresh fruit puree on top & Bananas and milk on the side.
We had a little play date with Jake yesturday, haven't seen him in a while as we have all been super busy. He is VERY mobile now - can even crawl up the stairs, and he pulls himself to standing on anything & everything. His big blue eyes are gorgeous and Mommy says he is already causing trouble with the ladies!
Bananas & Pancakes with pureed Mango, Strawberry & Kiwi topping - Mmm Mmm Good

Lunch at Jake's House
Last week the weather was phenomenal - we spent lots of time outside. I've given up putting katie on a blanket on the grass - she just moves it to reach the grass anyhow! She is so clsoe to crawling - up on her hands & kness, rocking back & forth all the time. And pulling on things - her crib bars etc. She can push herself up to standing if she is sitting and holding onto your hands. Yesturday morning she was eyeing the electrical socket - so theya ll now have covers on them. Trouble is on the way!!!!
Words of encouragement from Blazer

Well if I can't crawl I might as well enjoy a snack (a little grass is good fibre?) and the sunshine.
