Katie & I spent the afternoon baking cookies for our Christmas party on Sat and a cookie exchange on Sun - go figure the exchange is after the party so we had to make MORE cookies then just the 10 dozen needed for the exchange. (Truth be told I had already made several dozen over the last couple weeks & froze - and ate - them). We made 8 dozen today - 4 dozen chocolate crinkle & 4 dozen pistachio, cranberry shortbread, dipped in chocolate. It was a special afternoon as I remember spending hundreds of them in the kitchen with my grandfather, starting when I was Katie's age, if not younger. She had a ball - as you can clearly see.

Chrissy, the baking looks great! I have a question - what does the stool look like that Kate is standing on to see up at the counter level? I'm starting to think that Chance's frustration these days is peaking out and maybe cutting him a break and letting him see what's going on at counter level without confining him to the high chair might be an OK idea. Great Christmas activity at your house, I wish I could claim the same but we are very pro-store bought cookies this year. Next year we'll be more on the ball, I promise!

I love the flour (or is it icing sugar) on the face! I'm looking forward to further "adventures in the kitchen" with Sydney next year.
